jonathan-quigleyIt is with profound sorrow that we mourn the loss of sophomore Rep. Jonathan Ryan Quigley, who passed into death the morning of June 6 in a car accident in Mechanicsburg along with Penn Stater Emily Trump.

Jon Quigley’s passion for living a well lived life has been widely documented, but his understanding and witness to what it means to be an honorable, inquisitive and loyal Penn Stater is that for which we will most remember him.

Jon was a true friend and an accomplished leader, as involved in his academics and athletics as his extracurriculars and volunteering. The loss of Jon gives us pause to reflect on our own lives and that which we value and strive for during our time in this life. In affirming the thoughts of Dean Brady of Schreyer Honors College, “May perpetual light shine upon him. May he see God’s face.”
