UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The University Park Undergraduate Association (UPUA) and the Inter Fraternal Council (IFC) are collaborating to lead a group of concerned students on a door-to-door campaign to spread awareness of the disappearance of freshman Joseph Dado. This campaign will commence tonight at 8:45 from the HUB Auditorium.

Tonight at 7:30 Gavin Keirans, President of UPUA, will host a meeting of student leaders to discuss efforts to assist the community in finding Joseph Dado.

Following that meeting, the UPUA will host a community-organizing event in the HUB Auditorium at 8:00, which is open to the general public. All interested students are encouraged to attend. “All students need to unite especially when someone goes missing on our campus,” notes Mark Cannon, Chair of the Assembly. Grassroots efforts will begin shortly thereafter.

Luke Pierce, IFC President, expects around 35 to 40 IFC leaders and fraternity members to dedicate part of their night to search efforts.

The University Park Undergraduate Association has a commitment to advocate for students. “As an organization that advocates for students it is essential that we lead the in finding one of our own,” comments Christian Ragland, Student Life and Diversity Chair.

This is the not the first coordinative effort between the UPUA and the IFC. Last year the UPUA and the IFC collaborated to support the Pennsylvania Tuition Relief Act.
