About
The University Park Undergraduate Association (UPUA) is meant to both service the needs of the undergraduate student community and actively govern all relevant aspects of student life across the main campus of the Pennsylvania State University.
The University Park Undergraduate Association (UPUA) is the central government for Penn State students at the University Park campus, working closely with the Council of Commonwealth Student Governments (CCSG), the Graduate Student Association (GSA), and student organizations.
UPUA is comprised of an Assembly of Student Representatives, with specific constituencies corresponding to each academic unit (college) as well as on-campus living, off-campus living, and University Park interests at-large.
All of these representatives are elected by their constituencies. The president and vice president are elected by the entire student body. After assuming office, they appoint members to their executive board.
As the central student government, the UPUA is meant to serve as a vehicle for the empowerment of the student voice, representing the will of the undergraduate population and ensuring that the wishes of the student body are enacted through their elected student representatives.
